Field Force & Data Collection
Our research is supported by a network of over 200 qualitative moderators and enumerators across East Africa. This reach enables us to operate efficiently across multiple regions while maintaining authentic local connections. Diversity and local knowledge are central to our approach. Whenever possible, we engage enumerators from the communities where we work. This builds trust, improves data quality, and ensures cultural context is woven into our findings.
George Mwangi
Engagement Manager
George is a keen and dedicated project manager with experience across different
sectors. At Lotus, George leads teams focused on serving local and multinational
clients from different industries and sectors. He ensures projects are executed in an
effective and efficient manner. He holds an MSc in Supply Chain Management
from Heriot Watt University and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of
Nairobi.
Kamau Wairuri, PhD
Founder & Principal Consultant
Kamau is a researcher, educator and policy consultant with a deep understanding
of the political economy of development, public policy and public affairs in Kenya.
He holds a PhD in African Studies from the University of Edinburgh, an MSc in
African Studies from University of Oxford and a BA (Political Science and Sociology)
from University of Nairobi.
Veronica Mwania
Qualitative Researcher
Veronica is a seasoned qualitative research analyst with 15+ years of experience
conducting social and health research. Veronica has played important roles in complex social
research projects by national-level, regional and international
development research organizations and academic institutions. She holds a B.A.
in Psychology & Development Communications from Daystar University.
Martin Mumo
Research Associate
Martin is an experienced research professional with extensive expertise in technical
support, documents analysis, quantitative data collection and analysis, and project
management across diverse sectors. He is skilled in translating evidence into
practical insights that inform strategy and decision-making. He holds a BSc. in
Actuarial Science.
